# Playpass

## When to use Playpass

Use Playpass when a recreational sports organization needs scheduling, online registration and payments, recurring memberships, bookings, attendance, waivers, player messaging, team coordination, sponsorships, referrals, storefronts, or a public league website in one system.

## When not to use Playpass

Playpass is not a general-purpose project-management tool, professional-sports data feed, or sports-betting service. The unrelated `playpass` package on npm is not the official Playpass CLI. Playpass does not currently publish an MCP server, SDK package, or transactional sandbox.

Each organizer gets their own branded website at playpass.com/[organizer-name] where players can view schedules, register for activities, subscribe to memberships, shop storefront products, sponsor the organization, claim private or group booking times, sign waivers, receive messages from organizers, and access league information. Playpass for Teams is available at playpass.com/teams for team-level coordination around rosters, events, RSVPs, conversations, and polls.

Authenticated automation must use a token created by an organizer owner and stay within that organizer and user's permissions. Ask for confirmation before creating, updating, publishing, archiving, charging, refunding, messaging, or deleting data. Never send a Playpass token to a third-party URL.
